1: Who We Are
This website is operated by F.W.S Builders Limited, trading as F.W.S Builders.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly and in line with UK data protection law. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website.

We may collect and process the following personal information when you use our website:
- Name
- Phone number
- Email address
- The service you are enquiring about
- Any details you choose to include in your message
We only collect what we need in order to reply to your enquiry and quote for your work. We do not collect payment card details through this website.
3: How We Collect Your Data
Your data is collected when you:
- Submit the enquiry form on this website
- Contact us by phone or email
We do not buy contact lists and we do not collect data you have not given us.
4: How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data to:
- Reply to enquiries and quote requests
- Arrange site visits, consultations and appointments
- Carry out the work you have asked us to do
- Deal with any questions or aftercare once a job is finished
Our lawful bases for this under UK GDPR are:
- Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, when you send an enquiry or ask for a quote
- Performing the contract, where you go ahead with the work
- Legitimate interests, for keeping the website secure and filtering spam out of the enquiry form
We never sell your data.
5: Who Has Access to Your Data
Your personal data may be accessed by:
- F.W.S Builders, who carry out your work
- WAT Websites, who built and maintain this website and act as a data processor on our behalf
WAT Websites may access enquiry submissions for technical support, website maintenance and performance monitoring only.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to third parties.
6: Data Sharing
We share data only where it is necessary to run the website and reply to you, with the service providers that handle hosting, email delivery and website analytics.
Some of those providers process data outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where that happens we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
We may also share data where we are legally required to. All third parties are required to handle your data securely and in line with UK GDPR.
7: How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep enquiry and job records for as long as we need them to provide our service, deal with any follow-up or guarantee questions, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. After that we delete them.
You can ask us to delete your data at any time. See Section 9.
8: How We Protect Your Data
We take appropriate security measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Secure, encrypted hosting
- Limiting access to personal data to those who need it
- Ongoing website maintenance and monitoring
9: Your Data Protection Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of anything inaccurate
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict how we process your data
- Receive a copy of the data you gave us in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please come to us first so we can put it right.
10: Cookies & Analytics
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use a privacy-focused analytics tool that counts page views without cookies, and Google Analytics, which only sets a cookie if you press Accept on the cookie bar. Until you do, it receives anonymous, cookieless counts only. We also count taps on our phone number and email address on our own server, recording only the page and the button, never who tapped it. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer.
Some pages embed a Google Map showing where we are based. Google may set its own cookies if you interact with that map. You can read more on our Cookie Policy page.
You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
11: Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
